William Shatner to promote new Titan Books “Captain Kirk” autobiography at San Diego Comic Con

The Autobiography of James T. Kirk

Captain Kirk himself, William Shatner, will be commanding Titan Books‘s enterprises at San Diego Comic Con 2015, on a panel to promote The Autobiography of James T. Kirk, a book due for full release in September, written by David A. Goodman.

“From cadet to captain: my life in the stars.”  William Shatner will read from Titan’s new title, which chronicles the greatest Starfleet captain’s life in his own words, from his youth spent on Tarsus IV, his time in the Starfleet Academy, through to his meteoric raise through the ranks of Starfleet and his illustrious career at the helm of the U.S.S. Enterprise.

Kirk’s singular voice rings throughout the text, giving insight into his convictions, his bravery, and his commitment to the life — in all forms — throughout this Galaxy and beyond. Packaged in a handsome hardcover format, with a centre section of photographs, sketches, and original illustrations, this in-world biography will serve as a profile of courage and celebration of a beloved Star Trek hero.

Fans will have the chance to grab a copy of this in-world memoir that uncovers Captain Kirk in a way Star Trek fans have never seen.k, and have it signed by Shatner himself.

David A. Goodman, who also wrote Star Trek Federation: The First 150 Years back in 2012, is best known for his work on Family Guy, Futurama (writing “Where No Fan Has Gone Before”, which he says was partly what got him a job after Futurama writing for Star Trek: Enterprise.
