Egmont to launch Bing magazine

Bing Magazine Issue 1 - Final Cover

Egmont will launch a new children’s magazine, Bing, as a regular monthly frequency publication later this month.

Regular downthetubes readers may recall the company previously published its first Bing magazine as part of their pre-school Play & Learn titles, back in 2014.

Bing is a pre-school television series from Acamar Films. First broadcast in 2014, the series is a firm favourite with pre-schoolers across the UK and one of CBeebies’ highest rating shows. Winner of a 2015 International Emmy Kids Award and nominated for a Children’s BAFTA and Broadcast Award, Bing celebrates the noisy, joyful, messy reality of life for pre-schoolers – and those who care for them!

Egmont pitches the new Bing monthly magazine as “packed with stories and activities featuring Bing and his friends, as well as lots of colourful stickers to use throughout the pages. The brilliant free gift with the launch issue is a garden play set with a watering can, trowel, fork, shears and a Froggy soaker – perfect for outdoor-loving Bingsters.”

“We have published Bing as a one-shot magazine on several occasions in the last year,” notes Laura Adnitt, Publishing Director of Egmont’s Pre-School magazine portfolio. “Each time it has been a hit and I’m delighted that we are now able to launch Bing as a monthly frequency magazine.

“The magazine content gives Bingsters an opportunity to engage with their favourite characters through print with interactive puzzle pages, stickers and stories.”

Bing magazine is for children aged 2 – 5 years and launches on 20th July 2016, priced £3.99 in supermarkets and newsagents
