Explore the SF and Fantasy art of Patrick J. Jones

The Sci-Fi & Fantasy art of Patrick J. Jones - Promotional Art
Back in 2009, I edited SciFi Art Now, a compendium of great art with a foreword from one of my favourite all-time SF artists Chris Foss.

One of the artists who responded to my international appeal for art to be considered for the book was the award-winning creator Patrick J. Jones, a huge talent who recently saw the publication of his latest book, The Sci-Fi & Fantasy art of Patrick J. Jones.

Patrick was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, growing up during the height of Ireland’s conflicts and was one of the first people to be awarded a Prince Charles Trust Fund. He now lives in Australia.

Patrick’s work is collected and published worldwide, and his client list includes companies such as Disney, Lucasfilm and Roc books. His previous books include The Anatomy of Style and Sci-Fi & Fantasy Oil Painting Techniques.

This latest work, released late last year, featuring the phenomenal work of one of the biggest and best names in fantasy and sci-fi art, this new book features 150 amazingly realistic paintings, both digital and traditional.

A retrospective of Patrick’s career, this sumptuous volume is overflowing with the voluptuous women, glistening warriors, fantastic beasts and monsters, enchanted lands and extraordinary creatures.

An anecdote-peppered commentary by the artist runs alongside the artwork, along with exclusive contributions from fellow fantasy art luminaries.
