“Sweet Europe” features 150 cartoons by 29 Greek and 28 British cartoonists, selected in partnership with Procartoonists Pco, the work selected from some of Europe’s the most prominent newspapers, chosen for their humour and thought-provoking work.

British cartoonists in the exhibition, which runs until 21st May 2017, include Sun cartoonist Steve Bright and the Sunday TimesSurreal McCoy.

“I was thrilled to find out that there’s even a cut-out of one of mine,” says Steve. “I’ve always wanted to be a cut-out…”

Greek cartoonists have been on hand through the week to guide visitors around the exhibition. The GCA hope to make this exhibition an annual event.

Over on Think-Feel-Discover, Chrysanthi Kosmatou reports the inclusion of British cartoonists is hopefully just the start of a long series of collaborative exhibitions aimed at both introducing the diverse European cartoon scene to Greece and showcasing the local cartoon scene abroad.

Yes, despite Brexit.
