There are just ten days to go to MancsterCon 2015 on 29th August 2015, which will be held at the University of Salford Media City campus. Featured guests include Adam Cadwell, creator of Blood Blokes and Lydia Wysocki, creator of the Newcastle Science Comic, among others.
MancsterCon is a Manchester based weekend bonanza of sequential art where writers, artists, animators, otaku, cosplayers and any other creative/geek subculture we aren’t cool enough to quite remember can come along, sell and swap their wares, hear some talks on all things comics related and generally have a good time.
The event has been going since 2013; as well as conventions, we organised Cosplay events, animation festivals and other sequential art related goodness.
The event boast an impressive range of exhibitors including comics writer James Cavanagh, the writer of Native Lands, a science fiction series set in the distant future; comic illustrator and animation graduate Lisa Cummins, who’s currently working on a webcomic, Madam Butterscotch; zine maker and illustrator student Saffa Khan; Andrew Tunney, creator of GIRL&BOY; Tom Ward, creator of Merrick: The Elephant Man; and many, many more.
