Heritage Auctions describe this item as follows: Doctor Who (BBC TV, 1963-1989), Exhibition "Dalek" Constructed By Scott Wayland, Nicknamed "Norman". Exhibition-used reproduction Dalek, constructed ca.1980s by master builder Scott Wayland in the BBC Workshops. Measuring 66" x 35" x 52" overall, and constructed with wood and steel interior framework, with painted wood exterior. Finished in gray with black hemispheres. Movable wood, metal and rubber plunger and blaster arms, and a movable central eyestalk made from wood, between two lights to the dome. With wiring for light-up effect. The Dalek is on four caster wheels, with the dome and midsection removable from the 'body' for transport. Inscribed to the inside "My old enemy" by actress Anneke Wills (Polly). Exhibited: The Dapol Doctor Who Experience, Llangollen, Wales, UK - where he stood at the main visitor entrance to welcome guests. Exhibits handling wear consistent with outdoor display, minor repair to the plunger. This Lot is located in London, England, and special shipping arrangements via third party shipper will apply.
