Shaken, not stirred – Win an original James Bond painting!

Back I n 1962, the film Dr No introduced cinema-goers to the world of James Bond starring Sean Connery as the British spy with a licence to kill. The film adapted one of Ian Fleming’s popular spy novels and struck a chord with the public excited by the charisma of the character and the danger and excitement of the world of spies and cold war espionage.

56 years and 25 films later the Bond film franchise is once again booming, thanks to the 2006 reboot of the series. This month, artist Graeme Neil Reid has gone back to the beginning for his monthly art raffle with a painting of 007 in his first film adventure against the notorious SPECTRE agent with the metal hands.

Graeme is a Scottish artist who now works primarily in traditional mediums of watercolour and acrylic. His work has graced many different areas including books (The Dangerous Book of Heroes), television (World’s Strongest Man), gaming (Need for Speed), magazines (Radio Times), comics (2000AD and Commando), online and apps (Doctor Who).

One lucky supporter will win this original gouache painting depicting Bond and Dr No in the midst of some heated action, painted onto Arches watercolour art board the painting measures 24cm by 20cm.

And Graeme has also created a film poster from the art which all of his supporters will be able to download. The poster includes three new paintings of Bond ‘Girls’ Sylvia Trench, Miss Taro and Honey Ryder and from the 1st October it will be available to download as a high resolution A3 print.
