He’s one of the UK’s foremost tutors in comic-strip and cartoon skills who has taught students of all ages for the last 25 years at London’s City University, Birkbeck (University of London), the Hayward Gallery, Tate Britain, the Arvon Foundation, the Black Cultural Archive, the London Cartoon Centre, and the Cartoon Museum – where he is also the curator of its HLF-funded ‘Comics Creators’ gallery.

London-based City Lit offers a huge range of evening, weekend and daytime courses, inspiring 60,000 Londoners with over 5,000 courses each year.

They pride ourselves on offering an array of courses across a massive range of subject areas including art and design, history, writing, computing, massage, languages and much more. Catering to the busy Londoner, their courses run during the daytime, evenings and weekends to help you find something that fits in with your busy schedule.

In case you’re wondering, Steve’s art for his promotional poster for these new courses is the cover of a comic, Fantastic Life, starring “Stupidface”, which he self-published some 25 years ago. “I thought it’d be nice to give it an airing,” Steve notes.

It’s certainly very striking and caught my eye straight away!
