Latest Phil Comics eBay auction offers complete run of Action, and more

Bound copies of ActionThere are some 200 vintage comic listings in the latest Phil Comics eBay auction this week including the full set of Action (1976-77) in three bound volumes, #1-250 of 2000AD, issues of wartime Beano and Dandy, various annuals and a 1970s/80s IPC collection including 20 or so free gifts!

Run by Phil Shrimpton, Phil Comics specialises in vintage comics and related items such as annuals, holiday specials, free gifts and original artwork.

  1. What is the meaning of “PRE-BAN ISSUES” and “POST-BAN ISSUES” on the IPC Magazines Ltd bound Action Comic edition binders?

  2. Thanks, John. And I was thinking it might have been an acronym! As for the ban, just look at what is made (hardly ‘created’) today in the form of video games whose whole idea is to ‘kill’ as many people, aliens, etc as possible in the shortest amount of time. A lot less edifying.
