Reread in Doncaster collect and distribute thousands of free books to schools, other organisations, and individuals each year – but their warehouse was flooded on 8th November 2019, when the River Don broke its banks after torrential rainfall.

The organisation lost their equipment and thousands of books to the flood – and urgently need funding to keep them going over the next few weeks while they prepare for their Christmas book giveaway to children. Can you help?

“We not only help recycle good books and get them into the hands of those in need, but we also employ local people and rely on a community of wonderful volunteers,” says Rereads’s  Graham Oxby. “We’re approaching our busiest time of year, and your generosity will help us continue our work.

The organisation, which has already raised £4000 through an emergency appeal, runs book sales through the year and gave away some 35,000 books to children in 2018.

“We desperately need funds to help us recover from this disaster, and we would be grateful for any help. Thank you if you can help with a donation, and if you can, please also share on social media.”
