In the latest chapter of “The Deal” by Carlos Páscoa, continued from Volumes 33 and 38, an infant child rescued from death at the hands of demons is guarded from further menace on a perilous path to safety…
“Black“, written by Tobias Taitt with art by Anthony Smith, enjoy the true story of a guy who makes the most out of the very least….
in “Wilfred Weed“, can Wilfred discover why he is occupying the weird world he finds himself in? And, more importantly, can he escape it?
For an extraordinary – no, really – interview with this strip’s creator Ben Bernard-Smith, do check out the Aces Weekly blog – quoting from it would spoil the surprise – and there are other interviews with Aces too, plus all many other links to comics stuff of all kinds.
In “Hell Inc.” by Osmarco Valladão, sometimes a safe house can be anything but… the art on this SF adventure is stand out and I was drawn in from the get go two weeks ago when this Volume launched.
Osmarco Valladão is a comic creator and graphic designer who has published works in Brazil, the United States and the UK. His most recent work has been for Aces Weekly.
MEET THE ACES WEEKLY TEAM
For those who came in late, or who have been asleep under a rock for, well, years, Aces Weekly is published by David Lloyd, creator of graphic novels such as the brilliant Kickback and co-creator of V for Vendetta.
He’s aided and abetted in the Aces Weekly project by artist and writer Bambos Georgiou, who’s only the co-founder of the comic, but also Subscriptions Manager, as well as being a regular Ace contributors, responsible in part for the “Mr Custa and Dr Queer” series.
Also on the Aces Weekly team is Simon Russell, the title’s Managing Editor, responsible for all tech related issues and related design needs, who is also an Ace contributor and a creator who takes the high road in addressing the intelligence of his readers instead of settling for the lowest level he can reach.
Finally, there’s Phat Fury, the preferred moniker of the dedicated editor of the Aces Weekly blog at www.acesweeklyblog.com – who fills his space with lots of great interviews with past and present Aces, plus other non-Aces related items and links to comics subjects of many kinds.
