Comic artist and illustrator Tim Conrad

American comic artist and illustrator Tim Conrad – perhaps best known for his work on titles such as Conan, Kull and Epic Illustrated for Marvel – has announced an art sale through his Facebook Page, to help pay $4000 medical bills.

Tim’s comic career began in the mid-1970s, inking on Marvel titles like Kull and Bran Mak Morn‘, and pencilling Conan and stories for Unknown Worlds of Science Fiction.

He turned to painted comics for Epic Illustrated in the 1980s, working on strips such as “Almauric“, based on the Robert E. Howard story and “Toadswart“, both collected later. His credits for Pacific Comics included writing and drawing on titles such as Alien Worlds, Captain Victory and more.

He worked for Fantagor Press in the 1990s, on Horror in the Dark, for First Publishing on Hunchback of the Notre Dame and Eclipse Enterprises, on Down, Satan and Tapping the Vein.

Across his career the talented artist has also worked on game art, fine art and more.

While Tim has regularly sold his art for some years, he was hospitalised for a second time earlier this year, prompting an art sale to pay bills. He is currently doing well and staying positive.
