Here’s some great, early art from a 40-page oneshot that British creator Ed Whiting is self publishing, in colour, in a few months called Bigger Fish, a crime story set in 1970’s New York involving the Mafia, Mexican Cartels and the NYPD.

Ed has been writing for various British small press anthologies for the last few years, including Futurequake, Something Wicked and Sector 13.

Bigger Fish is my first long piece, a crime story set in 1970’s New York in the wake of Richard Nixon’s proclamation of A War On Drugs in 1971,” Ed tells us.

While the US government may have declared “war”, however, the underworld has other plans…

The fantastic art is by Hakan Aydin, an artist from Turkey who Ed tells us he met on the Facebook group Connecting Comic Book Writers and Creators, who has done some work for Zenscope in the past.

Bigger Fish is in the process of being coloured by J Francis Totti, who’s currently working on Prey for Us and Big F Off Worms with writer Matt Garvey, and will be lettered by Rob Jones, from Madius Comics.
