Egmont UK launches All About Angry Birds magazine

All About Angry Birds Issue 1

The first issue of All About Angry Birds magazine goes on sale from Egmont UK tomorrow, both here and in Germany, Poland, Turkey and China.

Targeting 6-9 year-old boys and girls, the magazine includes everything an Angry Birds fan could wish for. Made up of  two magazines in one, readers can not only help Red, Bubbles and The Flock rescue their eggs, but also lend King Pig Smooth Cheeks a hand to save his sweets!

Packed with stickers, puzzles, games and things to make, it also includes an exclusive pull-out comic book, crated for Egmont by Angry Bird‘s publishers, Rovio. The comics are scripted by Nate Crosby with art by Ivan Portier and colouring by Digikore Studios.

The magazine has plenty of other suitably fun and spooky activities which tie in with Hallowe’en and the launch of a brand new Angry Birds Zombies game and cartoon, including zombie-tastic masks to make, as well as a chance to play the crazy professor and design their very own Zombie Pig!

The magazine has 44 pages including a pull-out comic and it will come in a foil bag with a giant poster, sticker sheet and official Angry Birds Classic Trading Cards and Angry Birds Mini Clay Buddies; a package sure to keep young minds entertained and delighted.

Siobhan Galvin, Publisher, Egmont UK Ltd commented: “We’re really excited to be bringing Angry Birds to life on the newsstand. The brand has a massive awareness with children globally and we’re thrilled to be launching this quality package celebrating the piggies and birds in multiple territories.”

• Angry Birds Magazine goes on sale on the 23rd October for £3.99

Egmont also has book publishing rights for the brand and has already published three Angry Birds Joke Books, a Search and Find title and a Press Out and Play book with more to follow in 2014.
