Panel Borders radio show on Doctor Who comics

Excerpt from DWM strip 'CHaracter Assassin' by Scott Gray and Adrian Salmon

On today’s Resonance FM radio show Panel Borders, Alex Fitch is broadcasting an extract from the SCI-FI-LONDON panel on Doctor Who spin-offs, recorded in May 2013 at the Stratford PictureHouse Cinema, East London.

Joining Alex are artists Adrian Salmon and Mark Buckingham plus writers Scott Gray and Andrew Cartmel (also the TV script editor from 1987-1989) who are discussing the various adventures of the Doctor in sequential art, including the ‘wilderness years’ when the show was off air in the 1990s when comics were the only continuing visual adventures of the Time Lord.

Resonance FM can be found at 104.4 FM in Greater London, streamed at www.resonancefm.com for listeners outside of the Capital and an extended podcast version of the radio show will be available online this evening at www.panelborders.wordpress.com

(A follow up broadcast featuring the second half of the SFL panel, featuring authors Terrence Dicks, Paul Cornell, Tommy Donbavand and J.T. Colgan discussing Doctor Who novels will be broadcast at 8pm on Thursday 12 December).

• Previous interviews by Alex with Doctor Who comic creators include Tony Lee, Al Davison, Pat Mills and Dave Gibbons, Richard Morris, Leah Moore and John Reppion, Roger Langridge and Gary Russell
