Bryan Lee O’Malley, creator of the international bestseller Scott Pilgrim, is set to make his literary festival debut at this year’s Stripped 2014 graphic novel strand of Edinburgh International Book Festival to talk about his much-anticipated new graphic novel, Seconds, which is published in August in UK by SelfMadeHero.

O’Malley’s Scott Pilgrim series has sold 1.5 million copies worldwide, and it has been adapted into a successful movie. Seconds is his first new work in four years.

Bryan Lee O’Malley’s talk is scheduled for Sunday 17th August, 4:30pm – 5:30pm, Baillie Gifford Main Theatre, and he is also set to do a signing of Seconds at Forbidden Planet in Edinburgh on 17th August, 12-1pm.

SelfMadeHero has also announced that Reinhard Kleist is attending the festival, discussing his latest book, The Boxer, on Sunday 24th August, 6.30 – 7.30pm, Baillie Gifford Imagination Lab. This is a powerfully shocking true tale of Holocaust survivor Harry Haft who became a heavyweight boxer and one time opponent of the legendary ‘Rocky’ Marciano.

The Boxer is currently on sale in all good book shops.
