Titan Magazines is to publish a one-off Wolfblood magazine to tie in with the return of the cult werewolf teen drama to CBBC in the autumn.

Created by Debbie Moon, the BAFTA-nominated supernatural series, a co-production between CBBC and ZDF/ZDFE, focuses on teenage wolfbloods Maddy Smith (played by Aimee Kelly) and Rhydian Morris (played by Bobby Lockwood) as they struggle living their double lives as wolfbloods and keeping their secret concealed from the outside world. Two season have been made so far, the second seeing Maddy on the run with her family in the finale.

Bulldog Licensing announced this week that poster makers GB Eye have taken a licence for the show, and that Titan will release a new Wolfblood magazine to tie in with the launch of series three, joining several other licensees, including Danilo, who publish Wolfblood greetings cards and calendars.

“We’re always looking out for the strongest brands on the market and Wolfblood certainly fits the bill,” added Titan Editorial Director Chris Teather. “There is huge excitement regarding the third series, which I’m sure will translate into a strong retail performance for this new magazine.”

“It’s great to welcome GB Eye and Titan to the Wolfblood licensing programme,” said Bulldog’s Vicky Hill. “They will be tapping into the strength of one of the most popular kids’ shows on TV.”
