New Service tracks Independent Comic Publishers

Here’s an interesting and clearly well thought project: Indie Comics Tracker, a service enabling you to not only keep track of your favourite independent comic titles – but discover new ones, too.

Indie Comics Tracker allows you to discover paid and free  indie comics from all over the world in various languages, purchase them, download free issues, read sample issues, easily manage your comic book collection and get notified when new issues are out.

From 15th November 2014, you’ll also be able to buy comics from the site, too.

After you register for a free account, you’ll be able to follow your favorite comic series, track your reading list, create a wish list, track your collection, see which issues are missing in your collection, plus much more.

Independent comic publishers are being invited to sign on board – at the moment, it looks like many involved so far are US-based, but there are plenty of UK indies who might benefit from this.

The free service is the brainchild of Marcelo Lewin who, as well as being a comics writer himself, also developed various other online entities, including My Internet Deskop, Pixel Heads Network and Filmmaking Webinars. The site includes a blog with plenty of information on creating comics and also offers paid services to creators, including Kindle image preparation for digital publishing, video trailer creation and iBook conversion.

Being passionate about comic books, Marcelo was looking for an easy way to create and manage his comic book collection. Not having found a site he really liked that allowed him to do that, he decided to create IndieComicsTracker.com. He is also passionate about indie creators and wants them to have a place to showcase their great work.

“Basically, i created this site for myself, but I hope you will want to use it as well. Otherwise, i’ll go broke very soon.”
