BBC Worldwide’s April DVD, Blu-Ray releases include “Orphan Black”, “Da Vinci’s Demons”

BBC Worldwide has just released more details of its DVD and Blu-Ray releases, some of which may apeal to DownTheTubes readers, including The Musketeers Season Two, a show surely crying out for a comic book spin-off, and Orphan Black, which is already a comic from IDW – #2 is on sale this Wednesday.

 

The Musketeers Series 2

 

The Musketeers Series 2 DVD & Blu-ray
Release Date: 6th April
RRP: £25.52 / £30.63

Series 2 sees Marc Warren (Mad Dogs) join the cast as Comte De Rochefort, a dashing and persuasive aristocrat, with a talent for sword fighting and betrayal. As the series progresses, the true nature of Rochefort’s plotting is revealed and everyone around him is drawn into his sinister web. Ultimately only the Musketeers – D’Artagnan, Athos, Aramis and Porthos – and their loyal allies and friends stand between Rochefort and a desperate act that will change all their lives forever.

The Musketeers Series 1-2 box set will also be released on DVD and Blu-ray and priced £35.73 and £40.84 respectively.

 

Moone Boy - Series 3

It’s 1991 and Martin Moone (David Rawle) is a little older and a lot wiser. Well, slightly wiser. Okay, not much wiser at all. But that’s probably because the words of wisdom from his imaginary friend Sean Murphy (Chris O’Dowd) are as useless as ever. However that doesn’t stop Sean from leading Martin into all sorts of new scrapes and adventures. DVD extras include ‘Out Takes’ and ‘Deleted scenes’.  Moone Boy Series 1-3 DVD box set will also be released on 13th April and priced £30.63.

Orphan Black Series 2

The multi-award-winning Orphan Black returns to BBC DVD. Sarah (Tatiana Maslany) is Orphan Black – the result of a unique genetics experiment. A suicide in Series 1 leads Sarah to stumble across the truth of her identity, and others like her. Series 2 hits the ground running with Sarah now in a desperate race to find her missing daughter Kira (Skyler Wexler).. Her scorched earth tactics have sparked a war with the pro-clone Rachel (also played by Tatiana Maslany), dividing and endangering all the clones, which leads to the emergence of new enemies and culminates in a shocking finale that’s not to be missed.  Orphan Black Series 1 & 2 box set will also be released on 20th April and is available on DVD for £35.7 and Blu-ray for £40.84. 

Da Vinci's Demons - Series 2
