Peter Pan The Graphic Novel Events

Peter Pan Cover
Edinburgh publisher Birlinn books have just released Stephen White’s new graphic novel of JM Barrie’s Peter Pan.

This 96-page softcover book is based on Barrie’s original novel and play, adapted and illustrated by Stephen (also known as Stref) and coloured by Fin Cramb, and is published with the full support of the Peter Pan copyright holder, Great Ormond Street Hospital in London. Stephen’s illustrations for the graphic novel draw on original, authentic features from the Scottish locations that inspired Barrie to write his tale including Moat Brae House in Dumfries and the garden in Kirriemuir where he played as a boy.

Stephen is an Edinburgh-based illustrator, writer, and comic book artist who has worked for DC Thomson on projects such as The Dandy, The Beano, The Broons and Oor Wullie. His first graphic novel, MILK was published in 2009 and was followed by Raising Amy in 2011. He has also illustrated The Tattoo Fox series of books written by Alasdair Hutton and set around the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.
