Starting a month of shows about ‘The Galaxy’s Greatest Comic’, Alex Fitch talks to a writer and an artist about their work in and after 2000AD.

Colin Wilson discusses getting his first work on the periodical and drawing Judge Dredd and Rogue Trooper strips in the early 1980s, while writer Jim Alexander and artist Pete Woods discuss titles published by Alexander’s imprint ‘Planet Jimbot’, including Amazing & Fantastic Tales, and Food Chain.

Colin has been working professionally drawing comics since 1980. Over that time he’s worked on characters – Judge Dredd and Rogue Trooper for 2000AD in the UK, Blueberry in France, and a variety of series for DC, Wildstorm and Dark Horse in the United States.

Jim is a stalwart of DC, Marvel, 2000AD and many more and of course runs the Planet Jimbot independent comics publishing house. Two of his strips, “King’s Crown” and “Whisky in the Jar”, have been adapted for the TV series Metal Hurlant Chronicles shown on Syfy in the US.
