Digital comics publisher SEQUENTIAL have released a fun (but fiendishly difficult) Alan Moore online quiz to celebrate the 62nd birthday of one of the world’s greatest comics writers.
“It’s a 20-question quiz but is different each time you take it, and includes lots of rare Moore-related images and even audio,” publisher Russell Willis tells us. “Moore aficionados can record their score and compete to win $300 worth of digital graphic novels from SEQUENTIAL and an iPad mini.”
The person who records the highest score in the fastest time by noon on New Year’s Day will win the iPad mini and those in the top 100 will be put in the draw for the digital graphic novels. Fans can take the quiz as many times as they like.

The quiz was put together with the assistance of noted Alan Moore expert and comics journalist Pádraig Ó Méalóid.

The founder of downthetubes, which he established in 1998. John works as a comics and magazine editor, writer, and on promotional work for the Lakes International Comic Art Festival. He is currently editor of Star Trek Explorer, published by Titan – his third tour of duty on the title originally titled Star Trek Magazine.
Working in British comics publishing since the 1980s, his credits include editor of titles such as Doctor Who Magazine, Babylon 5 Magazine, and more. He also edited the comics anthology STRIP Magazine and edited several audio comics for ROK Comics. He has also edited several comic collections, including volumes of “Charley’s War” and “Dan Dare”.
He’s the writer of “Pilgrim: Secrets and Lies” for B7 Comics; “Crucible”, a creator-owned project with 2000AD artist Smuzz; and “Death Duty” and “Skow Dogs” with Dave Hailwood.
