DC Thomson launches Twirlywoos magazine

Twirlywoos Issue 1

DC Thomson, publishers of The Beano and Thunderbirds Are Go, has just launched Twirlywoos magazine, the magazine behind the hit CBeebies show that follows Great BigHoo, Toodloo, Chickedy and Chick seeking adventure wherever they go.

Twirlywoos magazine is a 28-page title specially created for kids aged two to four, based on the key values of the Twirlywoos show – silly, fun and full of surprises – and is aimed at making pre-schoolers laugh out loud.

Each issue will be educational, based on Professor Nutbrown’s schemas which are patterns of play that children repeat as they grow and develop. The magazine offers a range of engaging, innovative features that encourage learning through play, the style reflecting the humour that underpins the show.

There are no right or wrong answers in Twirlywoos magazine – just the space for children to read, understand and respond on their own terms.

Twirlywoos magazine is on sale from today, Wednesday 10th February, and issue one comes with an exclusive Twirlywoos stamp, stick and colour set containing stampers, an ink pad, crayons and a notebook. The magazine is on sale every four weeks priced £2.99 and each issue comes with a Twirlywoos covermount gift.
