True Believers Comic Festival returns to Cheltenham in February

True Believers Comic Festival 2017 PosterFollowing up on its success of with previous events, which saw the True Believers Comic Festival voted amongst the Top Five comic cons in the UK, the event is returning to Cheltenham Racecourse on Saturday 4th February 2017 for a third year of comic book fun.

With a strong focus on celebrating the world of comic books, the creators who make them and the fans who love them, True Believers offers comic book lovers of all ages the chance to be a part of a one day celebration event with a convention floor of over 150 tables of guests, artists, traders, creators, small press and a huge selection of back issue comics.

For the last two years, True Believers has featured some of the best British artists, writers and creators from both mainstream and small press comics, offering visitors the chance to browse their tables and talk to the people behind them about their work and more, in a relaxed and friendly environment that both shows off creativity and inspires it.

So far, the Guest List for TBCF2017 includes returning favourites Mike Collins, Dylan Teague, Jack Lawrence, Jessica Martin and Rachael Smith. They will be joined by Vince Hunt (creator of The Red Mask From Mars and one of the team from the Awesome Comics Podcast), Paul Grist (Jack Staff), Ben Oliver (2000AD) and Watchmen and Batman: The Killing Joke colourist John Higgins.

True Believers 2017 will also have a great selection of Small Press tables on the day, featuring the likes of Big Punch Studios, Close 2 Immortality, Death By Heroism, Evil Kat Studios, Hellbound Media, The Inheretic, Petitecreme and many more.

Away from the convention floor, there will another great selection of panels with many of our guests and exhibitors talking all things comics; including the return of the Celebrate Cosplay, Discover Something New and Comics As Education panels, plus some new panels on the day, including a live Awesome Comics Podcast panel too!

The event will also see the return of the Celebrate Tabletop Gaming area, which is run by Proud Lion and offers visitors the chance to take a break from all the comics and try their hand at a few games instead. Whether they are familiar with tabletop gaming or have never tried it before, there is something for everyone and a team of people on hand to talk them through the games and answer any tabletop related questions they may have.

Finally, the event will also feature the return of the much loved Celebrate Cosplay Hall, which will again feature a selection of Cosplay Guests on hand to talk cosplay and pose for photos with visitors as well as running workshops on cosplay techniques too. The centre point of the hall will again be the hugely popular Celebrate Cosplay Catwalk, which gives visitors the chance to get up in front of the crowd and show of their cosplaying skills on the just for fun catwalk!
