“Marionette Unit” Script Book Released

Regular downthetubes readers will recall The Marionette Unit, a creepy, scratch the back of your eyeballs work of gothic steampunk-driven horror we reviewed positively last year.

Well, now the team behind the book –  filmmakers Azhur Saleem and James Boyle – have released The Marionette Unit: Script Book – a 160-page exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the project.

It includes the full script that formed the basis of the graphic novel illustrated by Warwick Johnson-Cadwell (Tank Girl, Gungle, Nelson, 24×7, Off-Life), with each page showcasing the preliminary sketches of the artwork.

The Marionette Unit - Sample 1

“It offers a fantastic insight for readers, artists and writers alike,” say the team “and we hope it helps to illuminate our process in bringing The Marionette Unit to life.”

The Marionette Unit: Script Book is available as a direct download from the project website for £3.99
