Thought Bubble back this month in Leeds


A quick reminder that Thought Bubble comic con is back on 23rd – 24th September as part of the week-long Thought Bubble Festival starting 18th September 2017 – with a brand new festival village in Leeds City Centre.

The eleventh Thought Bubble event offers these headline comics guests:

Gerard Way – former My Chemical Romance Frontman, curator of DC’s Young Animal Imprint

Brian K. Vaughan – award-winning writer of Saga and Y: The Last Man

Jody Houser – writer of Faith, Max Ride: Ultimate Flight, Orphan Black

Sara Pichelli – Illustrator of Ultimate Spider-Man

Frank Quitely – Artist on All Star Superman, Batman and Robin

Charlie Adlard – Comic Laureate and artist on The Walking Dead

Cecil Castellucci – author of Shade, The Changing Girl on Gerard Way’s Young Animal imprint, and Odd Duck

Joëlle Jones – writer and artist of Lady Killer, artist on Supergirl: Being Super, Superman: American Alien 

Plus many, many more huge names in comics from around the world.
All events over the weekend will be taking place in the beautiful civic quarter including Millennium Square. Over 400 exhibitors will be selling their wares in three huge specially-constructed marquees and the exquisite Leeds Town Hall. 


The Carriageworks Theatre will play host to our talks and panels, Team Ketchup will be running our Drop In and Draw area for kids and families. 

Leeds Arts University are opening their Vernon Street site on Saturday 24th with exhibitions and drawing activities, and Leeds City Museum will be the venue for the event’s family activities, community groups and Bub’s Lounge – a quiet space created in partnership with Specialist Autism Services and Sensory Leeds. The City Museum and Leeds Arts University are free entry to all.
