Independent gothic western graphic novel Frankenstein, Texas has reached its Kickstarter goal in just five days, and is now raising funds towards additional content, including an all-star gallery of bonus pin-ups from established comic stars.

Created by writer Dan Whitehead and Eagle Award winning artist David Hitchcock, Frankenstein, Texas suggests that the ending to Mary Shelley’s classic novel was a lie, and that rather than being lost in the Arctic ice, Victor Frankenstein and his creation instead made their way west, to America, in order to seek a new life and possibly redemption.

Their odyssey takes them from the dive bars of New York’s 19th century waterfront to a remote Texas frontier town, where a valuable secret leads to a reckoning for the man, the monster and the community that takes them in.

Frankenstein, Texas is written by Dan Whitehead.
