In a pair of interviews recorded in front of a live audience, Panel Borders investigates the work of a trio of creators who have an interest in combining music and comic book art. At Thought Bubble Festival, Alex Fitch talks to My Chemical Romance singer Gerard Way about writing such comics as Doom PatrolThe Umbrella Academy and The True Lives of the Fabulous Killjoys.

Also, at Caption 2017, cartoonist The Surreal McCoy and musician DJ Food discuss their projects The Wolf of Baghdad and The Search Engine, the former a wordless graphic novel set to Arabic music by 3Ayin, and the latter an album with art by 2000AD artist Henry Flint.
