There’s some great lots in this latest batch of comics-related auction items from British online comic auctioneers Phil Comics – including a near full set of the 1970s TV-inspired title Countdown and TV ACTION and Frankie Stein art by Robert Nixon.
The latest auction includes many US comics alongside early issues of The Beano and Dandy, Commando, Air Ace and much more – over 500 lots, including a reproduction 1960s Batman film poster, with Alfred Hitchcock’s Psycho poster on the reverse.
The star lot in this latest auction is one of three pages of Robert Nixon artwork – the rear cover of the 1976 Frankie Stein annual complete with text and of course the R.T. Nixon signature. Glorious!
