Artist and writer Nick Brokenshire joins Star Wars Adventures creators

Star Wars Adventures #9

Artist Nick Brokenshire, whose credits include IDW’s Amelia Cole series and The Once and Future Queen for Dark Horse Comics, is the latest creator to work on IDW’s all-ages Star Wars Adventures title.

He’s both written and drawn a story for #9 of the ongoing series, on sale in April 2018, a comic telling Star Wars stories that are billed as “both canon and accessible.”

“It’s a total dream come true,” Nick enthuses.

The series launched last September with a story from Doctor Who writer Cavan Scott, featuring art by Eisner-nominated IDW mainstay Derek Charm.

The stories are all set in the entire Star Wars combined universe: they can be inspired by events or the setting of the original trilogy, the prequel trilogy, the modern films, and some of the offshoots that are still considered part of the canon.

Reflecting the diversity of stories, there’s been an impresive line up of creators on the title, including writers Elsa Charretier, Delilah S. Dawson, Shannon Eric Denton, Sholly Fisch, Shaun Manning, Alan Tudyk, Landry Q. Walker and artists Ben Acker, Ben Blacker, Arianna Florean, Sean Galloway, Nathan Greno, Eric Jones, Monica Kubina,Tim Levins, Jamal Peppers, Joe Quinones, Annie Wu; plus colourists Charlie Kirchoff and Lee Loughridge.
