Glyn Dillon 2000AD-inspired art included in new London exhibition

Glyn Dillon - Who Am I Now Exhibition

Glyn Dillon is exhibiting some of his recent, varied large paintings at London’s Noho Studios this month, which include two artworks paying tribute to his brother, the late Steve Dillon.

The artworks are inspired by strip pages from “Judge Dredd” stories in 2000AD: “The Witness II, 2021”, where Glyn’s late brother Steve dropped in a ‘Judge Glyn’; and “Look Behind You! Remember That You Are a Man! Remember That You Will Die!”, which is based on another of Steve’s splash pages.

Glyn Dillon is a multidisciplinary artist who works predominately as a painter. His practice currently explores the fantasy and reality of transitional spaces, thresholds or ‘Rubicons’. He is interested in the fundamental transitory nature of reality, identity, and more specifically, exploring the dyadic relationship he had, and continues to have, with his brother.

His work has been influenced by his career in the film industry as a Costume Designer, Storyboard and Concept Artist, as well as the narrative discipline of writing and drawing comics, including the award winning graphic novel The Nao of Brown.

Who Am I Now opens on Saturday 14th May, running until 20th May 2022, Noho Studios, 46 Great Titchfield Street, London, W1W 7QA

The studios are just round the corner from the Cartoon Museum for those planning a trip in to town for this, so you could visit both!
