Titan Comics <\/strong>has announced\u00a0the upcoming release of an all-new comic series based on the\u00a0New York Times<\/em>\u00a0best selling Lost Fleet<\/em><\/strong> SF novels written by best-selling author Jack Campbell<\/strong>, pencilled by Andre Siregar<\/strong>, inked by\u00a0Bambang Irawan<\/strong>\u00a0and coloured by Sebastian Cheng<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

I’d best declare an interest right now, as alongside Doctor Who: The Third Doctor – Heralds of Destruction<\/strong><\/em>, this is the other comics series I’m editing for the London-based company, and I’m honoured to be on board.<\/p>\n

Set after the end of a century-old war between two space empires, the Alliance and the\u00a0Syndics, Lost Fleet: Corsair<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0centres on the story of Captain Michael Geary, missing in action after the Syndic ambush related in the Lost Fleet novels that almost destroyed the spacefleet John \u201cBlack Jack\u201d Geary had to get home, against all odds.<\/p>\n

Jack Campbell is the pen name of John G. Hemry<\/strong><\/a>, a retired US Navy officer, who grew up living everywhere from Pensacola, Florida to San Diego, California, including an especially memorable few years on Midway Island. His US Navy\u00a0assignments included service on the\u00a0USS Spurance, and roles at the\u00a0Defense Intelligence Agency, and the\u00a0Navy Operational Intelligence Center.<\/p>\n

As Jack Campbell, he writes\u00a0The\u00a0Lost\u00a0Fleet<\/em>\u00a0series\u00a0of military science fiction novels, published by Titan Books in the UK<\/a> and Ace in the United States, described as\u00a0\u201cMilitary science fiction at its best\u201d by fellow SF author\u00a0Catherine Asaro.<\/p>\n

Together with\u00a0Brenda Cooper (Building Harlequin’s Moon<\/em>\u00a0,co-authored with Larry Niven and The Wings of Creation<\/em> series), he’s recently signed their newest novels with eSpec Books who are in the end run of\u00a0a successful Kickstarter for a new book<\/a>, The Sister Paradox<\/em>, by Jack.<\/p>\n

I’ve throughly enjoyed reading the Lost Fleet<\/em> novel series in advance of editing the new comic. The story has engaged, characters are great and the space battles well realised, as is the whole setting and aliens encountered along the way. Lost Fleet: Corsair<\/em> is set in the same universe as the novels, but is a great new story with new characters, so don’t be too worried you’d have to read all the books!<\/p>\n

Penciller Andre Christian M. Siregar<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>has been working in the comics industry since 2006. He spent most of it as the Indonesian branch manager of the\u00a0Glass House Graphics Agency, managing and supervising creative teams behind numerous\u00a0comic titles such as\u00a0Flash Gordon<\/em>, Green Hornet<\/em>, Sherlock Holmes<\/em>, Doctor Who<\/em>, and many more.\u00a0In his time as a comic artist, he has work on some fancy independent\u00a0titles such as\u00a0Legacy<\/em>, Sevara<\/em>, Kimot Ren<\/em>,\u00a0and recently stepped out from his shell to work on the Jack Campbell’s Lost Fleet – Corsair<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Inker Bambang Irawan<\/strong>\u00a0is\u00a0an experienced inker who’s been in the indie comics industry for so long. He’s\u00a0worked on many independent comics as both inker and colourist. By day, he runs his own clothing company as a day job, working on comics –\u00a0his passion –\u00a0at night. Hiss most recent works include\u00a0The Posse<\/em> and Evil Dead:Wired<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Sebastian Cheng<\/strong><\/a> is an acclaimed Malaysian-American comic book colourist, best known for his work on the Revolution<\/em> comic series for IDW Publishing. Prior to that, his work includes\u00a0The X-Files<\/em>, Orphan Black: Helsinki<\/em>, Markiplier<\/em>, and Magika<\/em>, along with independent creator-owned projects such as Boy1<\/em>, The Chimeran<\/em><\/a> and Redshift<\/em>.<\/p>\n

He is the\u00a0current colourist on\u00a0IDW Publishing’s Revolutionaries and The X-Files X-Mas Special<\/em> and now, Titan Comics\u00a0Lost Fleet – Corsair<\/em>.<\/p>\n
