Blink and you’ll miss them. Fine art print makers Dark Hall Mansion, have announced the upcoming release of their Harry Potter art by contemporary artist Gerhard.

Gerhard’s stunning entry for DHM’s ongoing limited edition Seminal Film Series fine art print releases, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone,  aka Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone in the US went on sale today, Thursday 18th February  – but are only  available until Sunday 28th February 2016.

Gerhard’s evocative and lovely take on the first film in J. K. Rowling’s singularly magical series showcases a key artist’s personal contribution’s to a notable film. The pairing of the first film that cinematically introduced us all to Harry, Ron, Hermione and the extraordinary world of Hogwarts from Rowling’s fantasy novels finds a most gifted collaborator, playing to Gerhard’s gift for rendering highly intricate and detailed tableau via the handcrafted and labor intensive care of his arrestingly meticulous crosshatching technique.

Gerhard’s prints illustrate the singular moment when first year students initially approach Hogwarts, all mood and tone his print’s exquisite detailing is nothing short of beautiful, particularly when the sheer mastery of his cross hatching elegance is viewed up close.
