London Screenwriters’ Festival 2027 Early Bird Tickets Available Now

“If you want to spend 362 days a year sitting alone at a desk writing, you need to spend the other three days with us.”

That line came from Luke Graves, a screenwriter at the London Screenwriters’ Festival a few years ago. With Early Bird Tickets now on sale for next year’s event (2nd – 4th April) the event founder, film director and producer Chris Jones, says he thinks about it every year when they open the doors at Regent’s University.

“Writing is solitary by design,” he notes. “You sit. You stare. You delete the thing you just wrote. You doubt your own voice. You wonder if anyone is on the other end of the silence.

“Then for three days a year, the silence breaks. Hundreds of people who do what you do are in the same building. Someone you respect tells you the same thing has been happening to them for years. You walk out lighter than you walked in.

“That’s why The London Screenwriters Festival exists.

“The talks and speakers are the framework. The inspiration, confidence and connection you carry home are the reason people come back.

“If you have never given yourself three days inside a room full of your tribe, ask yourself why not.”
