New Merchandise Remembers Bunty Comic

Bunty Covers

DC Thomson’s long running girl’s comic Bunty is being celebrated in new merchandise from British retailer Mouse To Minx. From 1958 to 2001, when it was DCT’s last girl’s comic, Bunty ran for 2249 weekly issues plus some five little-known Bunty Monthly reprint comics while its 50 annuals, or ‘Book For Girls’, concluded with the 2009 cover dated publication.

Mouse To Minx has received DC Thomson’s first licence for Bunty merchandise and they have produced a selection of prints, mugs and kitchenware featuring the comic’s fan favourite strip “The Four Marys” all of which are available for the company’s website.

There are two different mug designs, one with the comic’s logo and a “Four Marys” intro panel, and the other with a panel again from “The Four Marys” strip about stirring porridge.

The kitchenwares feature an apron and a pair of tea towels while there are six different 20 x 25 cm Giclee prints, three featuring panels from “The Four Marys” and three with ‘paper dolls’ of Bunty herself.
