Coming Soon: Titan Comics The Savage Sword of Conan

Titan Comics revitalised The Savage Sword of Conan: Reforged #1 hits comic shops on Wednesday 22nd October, the legendary black-and-white magazine returning with vivid, all-new colour restorations, by GFB Group and Jão Canola, bringing new depth and intensity to Conan’s celebrated adventures.

The Savage Sword of Conan: Reforged #1

This new series kicks off with two of Conan’s most iconic stories: “Tower of the Elephant” featuring art from the legendary John Buscema and Alfredo Alcala, and “The Frost-Giant’s Daughter” from the incomparable Barry Windsor-Smith, now recoloured to fully capture the brutal majesty of Robert E. Howard’s Hyborian Age.

The sword is drawn, the battles rage, and the legend is reforged…

The title joins other Conan titles from Titan, including the all-new Savage Sword of Conan, issue 10 currently on sale, and their full colour Conan the Barbarian monthly, now up to issue 25.

  1. I’m disappointed with the colouring. It looks like the standard comic book colours of over 20 years ago. Surely, such classic stories need more subtle watercolour tones making each panel a painting. Still, it’s nice to see these old comic tales given a new printing. For me, I’ll stick to the original black and white art.
