Horror films – the truly scary, the bizarre, the bad, and some just downright silly – have a huge following worldwide, but did you know there’s a series of quiz books by Killian H. Gore out there to challenge your knowledge about them?

Bloodbath at the House of Death Unauthorized Quiz Book By Killian H. Gore

Launched by Killian H. Gore in 2018, the final book in the series, the Bloodbath at the House of Death Unauthorized Quiz Book, inspired by the 1984 film Starr Kenny Everett, Pamela Stevenson and Vincent Price, was released in September.

(For those unfamiliar, Bloodbath at the House of Death, released in 1984, was filmed entirely in Potters Bar, and a mansion house that doubled for “Headstone Manor” in Northaw. It’s had a few outings on Talking Pictures TV).

Each unauthorised book in Killian’s 30 book series – some also collected into bumper editions – offers plenty of trivia questions about each movie or TV series featured, including An American Werewolf in London, Hellraiser, Scream, The Exorcist and more. We’ve listed all 30 below.

Killian H. Gore, who lives in Warrington, was born in Fort Phantom in Texas in 1976. He is a distant relative of the serial killer Ellen Mort who was born in Liverpool, England and later vanished in Salt Lake City, Utah, after violently butchering all five of her husbands (for the full true story of Ellen Mort, read his Incredible Horror Movie Facts book).

He is the author of the short story collections Before Halloween and Three Tales of Terror as well as the novellas, Beyond Bigfoot, The Thingy From Another World and The Demon of Heritage.

His short films Schrecken, Two Ghost Tent and Don’t Look at the Camera! appear in the 60 Seconds to Die horror film series, a collection of low-budget, independent horror anthology films, inspired by 1970s grindhouse cinema. He is also an Associate Producer of the 2020 summer camp slasher movie, Bloody Summer Camp, starring Felissa Rose.

Killian’s hugely entertaining What’s Your Favorite Scary Movie? book features interviews with such horror legends as Joe Dante, Michael Berryman, Richard Stanley, John A. Russo, Marcus Nispel, Fred Dekker, William Malone and Mark Shostrom. Oh, and he’s just started designing horror T-shirts too.
