DOCTOR WHO SET FOR RETURN
26/9/03: The BBC has confirmed that cult science fiction series Doctor Who is returning to to TV, 14 years after it was axed.
The much-awaited comeback will be written by acclaimed TV dramatist Russell T. Davies – a self-confessed fan – whose credits include hit dramas like Bob and Rose, Queer as Folk, The Second Coming, Touching Evil, and The Grand.
As a former editor of Doctor Who Magazine I’m delighted by the news, and my vote for the new doctor has to be Alan (Jonathan Creek) Davies. Or Norris Cole from Coronation Street…
Though BBC News Declan Currie has to be a good candidate too, as suggested by the rest of the BBC news team…
