US publisher DSTLRY has announced Endeavour, a gripping action-thriller by the acclaimed team of Stephanie Phillips (LIFE, Harley Quinn, Phoenix) and UK-based Marc Laming (Star Wars, Planet Hulk). This modern survival epic sets sail in comic book shops and digitally in February 2025.

Set aboard a historical recreation of an 18th-century schooner, Endeavour witnesses a group of children from elite families invited on a luxury recreational cruise with modern amenities. When unexpected chaos erupts, seven children are left stranded on the ship and adrift at sea. As supplies dwindle and the children battle the elements, a cutthroat struggle for survival emerges as factions (and double crosses) develop.
Phillips and Laming’s maritime epic taps into primal fears and the desecration of societal norms, offering fans an intense, character-driven narrative. In an environment where fear and betrayal reign, each child must decide who they can trust—or if they can trust anyone at all.

“Endeavour merges the suspense of survivalist classics with a meditation on modern social and cultural norms,” said Stephanie Phillips. “Marc and I have really enjoyed building this world full of dangerous alliances and suspense.
“I love survivalist stories and I love confined horror stories that seek to deconstruct socio-political structures. Is that a mouthful? Sorry…” she expands on Substack. “This book has been something I’ve been working towards for years, and DSTLRY has been a perfect home for its maiden voyage. I also couldn’t be more excited to bring it to life with Marc Laming, Lee Loughridge, Tom Napoliatano, and Will Dennis. Once again, I end up as the luckiest creator to have such great collaborators.
“And the variant covers… we’ve got Matteo Scalera and Matías Bergara variants, and that’s just the tip of the iceberg (sorry, I’ll stop. Maybe).”

Artist Marc Laming adds, “The original HMS Endeavour voyage in 1768 didn’t end well, and this one’s outcome doesn’t look much more optimistic! I was on pins and needles waiting for Stephanie’s next script, and bringing this vision to life was equally stressful and gratifying. Endeavour is a super taught thriller and by equal measure a horrific tale that has been a pleasure to draw.”
“This book is not for the feint of heart, as readers will see!” explains editor Will Dennis. “While on the surface it’s a page-turning thriller, the real depth comes from seeing how quickly the veneer of civilization gets shattered.”
“Endeavour charts a new high in Stephanie Phillips’ already impressive oeuvre,” says DSTLRY Co-Founder and CCO Chip Mosher. “This is an unforgettable journey with visceral thrills and literary execution,” continue DSTLRY Co-Founder and CEO David Steinberger. “It’s exactly the kind of hyper-ambitious, wide-screen story that belongs in the DSTLRY library.”
Endeavour will be presented in DSTLRY’s signature prestige format, offering oversized 48-page issues that showcase Laming’s atmospheric, high-tension artwork. Each issue will be perfect-bound with a wraparound cover and will feature additional content, diving deeper into the world of of the adventure.
