Master Replicas has just released a Limited Edition of the original Battlestar Galactica ship the Atlantia.

In the original 1978 version of Battlestar Galactica we were told there were twelve different battlestars, but only eight of them were referred to by name. Master Replicas is releasing models of all eight.
The Pegasus (the only other Battlestar to survive the first Cylon attack) is now only available in very limited numbers, but Galactica is still in good stock for now.

The Atlantia – offered in a limited edition of 350 – is one of the few Battlestars that appeared on screen, destroyed during the Cylon attack after a Cylon Death Squadron flew into one of the flight pods. It was President Adar’s flagship and hosted the Council of Twelve during the supposed peace conference over Cimtar.
This classic battlestar from the original series is made from die-cast and ABS, and measures 10.5 inches in length.
The names of the original Battlestars has been an item of discussion since the series made its debut. Galactica, Atlantia, Pacifica, Triton, Acropolis, Pegasus, Columbia and Rycon are all mentioned on film, although in interview, creator Glen A. Larson muddled matters by suggesting not all might be Battlestars, and Solaria and Cerebus are mentioned in the series novelisations. The name Prometheus was on a list given to the production department.
