Jeff Wayne’s Musical Version of The War of The Worlds Live! The Concert Experience is set to tour to UK theatres and concert halls in 2026.
The special concert edition of Jeff Wayne’s War of the Worlds is presented by Kilimanjaro, and will feature the chart-topping original 1978 double album of War of the Worlds performed live and in full for the first time.
Performed by West End stars, a band and orchestra, animation will also be showcased in the concert.
Casting for the tour is to be announced.
Initial tour dates for Jeff Wayne’s Musical Version of The War of The Worlds include Edinburgh Playhouse (10th October 2026), Bradford Live (15th October), Liverpool Philharmonic Hall (19th October) and Swansea Building Society Arena (27th October).
Jeff Wayne, who – although not conducting or involved in this tour – has given it his full support.
“Over the many years since my musical version was released, TWOTW has been performed as a concert rendition hundreds of times – but almost all have been international productions,” said Wayne.
“It’s therefore a great thrill to announce that a special concert rendition of my original double album is to tour the UK in October next year – a first of its kind on our home shores. Performing at concert and theatre venues, it will give the audiences a different perspective of my musical version, stripping the ‘spectacle’ of my arena tours back down to its foundation…the music! For this concert tour,
