VIP Brands, who have been instrumental in establishing the Comic Rights Market run at the Lakes International Comic Art Festival in recent years, are working together with Annecy Animation Film Festival to create a Comics-to-Animation Rights Market at the 2026 Annecy International Animation Film Market, taking place 23rd to 26th June, in Annecy, France.
The Animation Film Market will run alongside the main Festival (21st – 27th June), 2026 edition also featuring a new “Cross IP Area” for immersive, gaming, and publishing content, alongside “Mifa IA” for artificial intelligence discussions.

“We are hoping this initiative will debut as part of MIFA, the world’s largest and most influential gathering of animation professionals,” says Ivanka Hahnenberger of VIP Brands. “So please sign up and let us know you support this unique opportunity for publishers, agents, and any rights holders and representatives. A platform for them to connect directly with animation producers, studios, and executives actively seeking new IP.”

Table rates are intentionally being set at an extremely reasonable level, lowering barriers to entry and making participation accessible to all all rights reps and established brands alike. Participants will benefit from unparalleled exposure, with direct access to decision-makers from across the global animation industry.
VIP Brands initiated the Comics Corner at Bologna Book Fair, The Comics Business Center at Frankfurt Book Fair, The Rights Market at the Lakes International Comic Art Festival, and many other comics rights initiatives.
