Combat Colin #4 by Lew Stringer

Lew Stringer‘s Combat Colin No.4 is available to order now and will be available exclusively from him at the London Film and Comic Con this coming weekend.

Combat Colin No.4Reprinting the “Combat Colin” stories from The Transformers Nos. 257 to 283, Combat Colin No.4 brings you fast-paced comedy-action that takes place beneath the sea, on Mars, in the Prehistoric past and in Colin’s home town of Wallytown!

Plus, it’s time to meet Combat Kate… is she friend or foe?

There’s only one way to find out, in another 32-page edition that includes Lew’s personal recollections of how the 1960s weekly SF comic TV Century 21 inspired him to draw.

Lew Stringer began his career in comics in 1983, creating humour strips for Marvel UK titles such as The Daredevils, Spider-Man and The Transformers. He swiftly expanded his portfolio to freelance for IPC and other companies on Oink!, Buster, VIZ and many other publications for a range of age groups.

Combat Colin is probably his most popular character, but he also created Brickman, Pedantic Stan, Pete and his Pimple, Tom Thug, Robo-Capers and more.

Over the last three decades, Lew has created strips both as a writer and artist for numerous mainstream publications in the UK such as Beano, TOXIC and The Dandy as well as self-publishing his own “Lewniverse” comics. His three panel strip for Doctor Who Magazine‘s letters pager regularly pokes affectionate fun at all things Time Lord… and monsters!

Internationally, Lew produced a series of “Brickman: strips for Image Comics’ Elephantmen, back up comic-horror pages for Dark Horse’s Grindhouse, and created The Suburban Satanists for the Scandinavian comic Herman Hedning.

Combat Colin #4 is available order online direct from Lew Stringer here – along with other available “Lewniverse” titles
