WebFind: David Baillie’s “Paraverse”

Comics writer and artist David Baillie has just launched a new anthology strip on Webtoons called Paraverse.

The short three-part anthology comic offers some great allegorical tales, introduced by an odd host, best read on mobile rather than desktop devices.

“I had a lot of fun making it and I really hope you like it,” says David, who’s perhaps best known for his work on Red Thorn, 2000AD and Heavy Metal.

The stories – “Goldie”, “Cogs” and “The Cocoon Dream” are tremendous fun, each with a different theme – and you can read all of them here.

The team at WebToons started a whole new way to create stories and opened it up to anyone with a story to tell. The platform is now home to thousands of creator-owned content with amazing, diverse visions from all over the world.

Get in on the latest original romance, comedy, action, fantasy, horror, and more from big names and big names to be – made just for WebToons, available anywhere, anytime, and always for free.

Do note that for some reason, when new users check out a Webtoon strip it asks for your age, and then usually plonks you back at the WebToons homepage, rather the comic you actually clicked on, “which I know is infuriating!” notes David.

It means you’ll have to click the link again after entering your Date of Birth, but it’s worth persevering… or should that be paraversing?

Check out David Baillie’s Paraverse here on WebToons – there’s an app, too!
