Top YouTube games vlogger Kim Justice has released “The Story and Games of Dan Dare, Pilot of the Future”, a retrospective look at the computer games featuring Eagle’s space hero.

The video introduces Dan Dare to Kim’s wide audience, then covers the Dan Dare: Pilot of the Future, The Dan Dare Adventure, Dan Dare II: Mekon’s Revenge and Dan Dare III and Gaiares games, exploring titles released on the Spectrum, C64, Amstrad and even the Mega Drive.

“Dan Dare, one of the UK’s great comic heroes, also has some of the best tie-in video games under his belt,” Kim enthuses.

Some of the games gained plenty of attention when first released, no doubt helped by Oliver Frey’s striking covers featuring the space hero for CRASH and Zzap 64.

Kim regularly makes documentaries about old computer and video games, mostly with a European slant – it’s all about the ZX Spectrum, the Commodore Amiga, the C64, plenty of great companies like Ocean Software, rises and falls, tales of technological and bureaucratic disaster… all sorts. Plus Sega and Sony too.

“I also do wrestling, old TV, music, and anything else that catches my interest. Enjoy!”
