If you’re a fan of the legendary TV Century 21 and Look-In artist Mike Noble, then you won’t want to miss The Noble Art of Fireball XL5 on Talking Pictures.

Mike, who, sadly, we lost in 2018, is perhaps best known for his work on the British weekly comics TV Century 21 – drawing strips such as “Fireball XL5“, “Captain Scarlet” and “Star Trek” and Look-In – working on strips such as “The Famous Five“, “Follyfoot“, “Robin of Sherwood“, “Timeslip” and many more.
Airing at 2.40pm on Saturday 20th January 2024, in this fascinating 17-minute documentary by Fanderson member Jeff Smart, Mike talks about his work on comic strips such as ‘Fireball XL5’, ‘Captain Scarlet’ and ‘Zero X’ for TV 21, and ‘Space:1999’ for Look-In, among others.
This fascinating documentary is also available now on the Talking Pictures free Encore streaming service – do note you need to register to watch online.
