Writer/artist Brian Gorman‘s latest illustrated book is inspired by the 1960s classic cult TV series The Prisoner.
Aftermath: Return To The Village examines the philosophy and ideas of Patrick McGoohan’s groundbreaking creation, in an entertaining and thought-provoking story, told in the style of an imagined sequel.
The Prisoner was created by Patrick McGoohan, Britain’s highest paid TV star of the 1960s. McGoohan played an unnamed intelligence agent (referred to as “Number Six”) who resigns from the service, only to be kidnapped and taken to a mysterious village where escape is seemingly impossible.

The show only lasted seventeen episodes, but achieved huge cult status, and is regarded as a groundbreaking, surreal classic. The concluding episode, “Fall Out”, broadcast in 1968, saw Number Six make a final bid for freedom, and discover the identity of the all-powerful “Number One”.
Aftermath: Return To The Village is edited and designed by SM Worsey, featuring an introduction by John Freeman, will be published by Peak Hare on 11th April 2025. Priced at £9 (plus postage). This limited edition print run of just 100, and can be pre-ordered online directly from Peak Hare

Brian Gorman and SM Worsey are guests at the forthcoming, sold out Portmeiricon event, organised by Six Of One (The Prisoner appreciation society), and will be launching the book there on Friday 11th April.
