Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity have chosen “Flying to Neverland”as their Christmas card this year, exclusively available from their web store.

The image was created by Fin Cramb and Stephen White (aka Stref) for the wonderful JM Barrie’s Peter Pan The Graphic Novel, published by Birlinn earlier this year.

It shows the scene from the classic story which Peter, Wendy, Michael and John fly of to Neverland… what makes it even more special is that they are flying over Great Ormond Street Hospital, as it looked in 1893. JM Barrie and dog Nana are included in the foreground.

“I’m delighted and honoured, said Stephen. “…what a way to end an amazing year!

Stref (Stephen White) goes back to the very heart of Barrie’s orginal tale to create a story that is dark, magical and utterly charming in his Peter Pan graphic novel – the very first time it has been adapted from the original story as a graphic novel in the UK. The stunning illustrations draw on original, authentic features from the locations that inspired Barrie to write his tale, including Great Ormond Street Hospital. It’s a new and exciting version of Peter Pan that is like nothing that has been done before and is also available from the charity’s web site here.

Please buy a pack of the Finding Neverland cards, and help raise funds for the hospital  – or buy the graphic novel here
