“Football Earth” star joins Roy Race in bid for England Manager role

Football Earth - ZebrasFollowing the announcement that comic hero Roy “Roy of the Rovers” Race has put his name forward to be considered for the next England manager, today Pet Guardiola has thrown his hat into the ring.

Pet is one of the top managers of the natural game among the likes of Mark Ewes, Jurgen Clip Clop and Roberto House Martinez.

This is a major departure for Pet, who has no experience of managing a team of human beings. Pet’s career, along with other famous names such as Alan Sheared and Chop Harris, can be followed in the panel cartoon Football Earth about how animals play the beautiful game. It currently appears weekly in the Non-League Football Paper and in the bi-monthly football magazine She Kicks.

Humans with access to the internet can also find the cartoon at www.footballearth.net, and on www.comicsherpa.com as Soccer Earth.

Very few commentators believe that Pet has a chance of becoming the next England manager. Some critics even believe he has made this announcement simply to advertise a new book about the natural game, Football Earth The Wild Side. This cartoon collection of footballing animals is out in March 2017 published by Summerdale and contains nearly 150 cartoons.

The author Steve English, when asked about Pet’s annoncement, said that he had no comment to make…

It will be Hot Shot Hamish next!
