Eaglemoss releases Marvel Fact Files Wolverine Special

Wolverine Fact FileA Marvel Fact Files Wolverine Special, a new oneshot from Eaglemoss Publications, goes on sale 20th June 2013 in newsagents, priced £12.99.

Since making a brief appearance in The Incredible Hulk comic in 1974, Wolverine has become a favourite character for many fans of the Marvel Comics and more recently, the X-Men films.

As Marvel fans reading this know, born James Howlett, but more commonly known as Logan, Wolverine is a mutant who possesses keen animal senses, enhanced strength and an accelerated healing factor, which allows him to recover from virtually any wound, disease or poison he encounters.

This super healing ability enabled the military to replace his bone skeleton with the metal alloy adamantium, which turned him into a near-indestructible super soldier. After leaving the army, Wolverine reluctantly joined the X-Men of Professor X, later teaming up with the Avengers.

Aimed predominantly at men aged 18 and over, the Marvel Fact Files Wolverine Special features a highly detailed, hand-painted collector’s figurine, with Wolverine himself standing at 127mm tall.

Packaged in a special promotional printed bag with the figurine, the Special will also have an exclusive 20-page magazine looking back at the origins of the deadly superhero, covering both the real world story as well as the various incarnations of the popular hero in the pages of the Marvel Comics and various films.

A character in the four X-Men films and eponymous hero of X-Men Origins: Wolverine in 2009, the superhero, as portrayed by Hugh Jackman will have his second standalone movie this summer, when the sixth X-Men film, The Wolverine hits cinemas in July.

Fully SoR, Marvel Fact Files Wolverine Special will be supported by trade flyers in issue No.13 (on sale 13/06/13) and No.14 (on sale 20/06/13) of the Eaglemoss Marvel Fact Files collection. There will also be a pointer sticker on issue No.14 of the regular collection.
